How we count

  • We read the public price lists of 19 Latvian timber buyers every night — sawmills, veneer mills, pulpwood and firewood buyers.
  • For each assortment every buyer counts once, with its best current price. We show the median over the buyers, the lowest and the highest price.
  • A list older than 90 days is not current: it is left out of the median and the range.
  • Prices are € per m³ excluding VAT for wood delivered to the buyer (roadside, yard or port, as each buyer states). Standing timber is priced lower.
